We had a crazy experience. We pulled up to a gas station to fill our van when a jeepney pulled up beside us. The men jumped out and unloaded several 5 gallon jugs from the back of the jeepney. Then they got a long pole or stick that had measure markings on it. They openen up a lid in the floor of the parking lot and stuck the stick down inside to measure the gas that was left in the tank. Then they proceeded to pour gasoline through a large funnel into the underground tanks below. No tanker truck came to refill the tanks, just a jeepney with several 5 gallong jugs. It got the job done but we commented that only in the Philippines would we see a sight like that.
