MYC - Multi District Youth Conference
Thursday, Friday and Saturday was MYC. It was held at Carigara Chapel. Biliran District combined with Carigara District so we had about 300 young people attend. They slept in the classrooms in the church. A shower was built out of bamboo and tarps with pvc piping water inside seven stalls for a shower for the girls. The boys just had a stall with a bucket of water for washing.
Food preparation was all done outside, much like camping out. Lean-tos were constructed out of bamboo for protection from rain.
Elder Dalley is in the District Presidency so President Cinco asked if we could be there. Of course whenever we go anywhere we usually have to speak, which turned out to be the case here also.

Sad to Change
We are sad to see one of our favorite Elders (Elder Doroson) get transferred. We went to FHE on tuesday night in his honor. (I'm great I forgot to take pictures. ) We started late because of preparations being done for Youth Conference and because the Elders just plain didn't get there until late. Elder Dalley taught the youth all of the rounds he could think of. They seemed to get a kick out of them. (They all sing in English and read scriptures in English.)
While he went to pick up the Elders we played games. No one could think of any so we played some of our old standbys.
When Elder Doroson came he gave the lesson and then we had dinner. By then it was about nine p.m. We played another game and sang some songs. We old ones finally had to throw in the towel and head for home and since we were everyone's ride, they had to leave too. They all love Elder Doroson, he has been their branch president for the last several months.
