The Last Supper

Last night was very special to us. We were set apart as missionaries by our Stake President, Darrell Whitney. Many of our children and their spouses were there to witness it. He gave us wonderful blessings and we are now officially missionaries for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latterday Saints. I wish we could have recorded his words but they will remain in our hearts.
We then went to the Red Lobster for dinner so we have jokingly called it our Last Supper. The waiter had recently returned from a mission to the Philippines so we had a good time talking to him. We then said our goodbyes to our children and grandchildren who live here. It feels so weird to think we will be away for a year and a half.
We will leave about ten o'clock today (Friday January 23rd) to drive up to American Fork where we will spend the evening with Abe's brothers and sisters. We will travel by way of Delta to stop and say goodbye to my sister Carolyn and family then we will spend the weekend with our family up north and enter the MTC on Monday January 26th.
